Zimmerman is INJURED

Stop trolling

Where were the people making that excuse for LaRoche last year or Marquis the year before? They got hate for sucking, Zim should get the same hate too.

LOL Was that hate before or after they had SURGERY for their injuries?

It is completely ridiculous to hate a player for being injured.

You're trolling is boring and stupid. I'm done with you. Go play with someone else.

They were free agents, Zimm has been here, for me players get credit for past performance before the hate sets in

Why in the world would Strasburg even need people to make up excuses for him?  He's one of the best pitchers in baseball this year.

Ask Davey. Blisters, too hot, icy hot in the drawers .... always something.

at what point does Stras' 1+ OPS not become a fluke?

How about he get at least 50 PAs?  If he were an everyday player, he's got the equivalent of like a ten-day hot streak going.  Admittedly, he looks good for a pitcher, and I feel good about him being up there with runners on as opposed to Gio, who looks a little like a cow on rollerskates when he bats, but it's 25 PAs.

I wonder if he'd be more valuable at third .....

Nah.  His OBP is under 500.

Can I reject the Coors series?  Gigantic run inflation is going to make our offense look competent when it has been anything but this month.

You can reject some of it. But it's clear Zim is feeling better and hitting better and Morse is getting back in the groove.

For the moment. I have to wonder if it at least it gave some struggling hitters some confidence

These are my thoughts going into the series.  They're basically unchanged.  Check back after the next home stand.

I think its more likely we'll have an inflated confidence in the offense. ...  I think we'll bust out a bit in an offensive park vs. a not so great rotation.

Let's hope this run is sustainable by Zimmerman.

I am more comfortable that Morse is getting back to Beast Mode.

We need to remember that our offense has been down two big time hitters in the middle. I still am glad we passed on Prince Fielder at that price.

18 runs in 3 games in Atlanta after the series in Colorado.  Hopefully that's a sign of things to come in the 2nd half.

We'll see.  This SFG series will tell - two days games, hot days, into the teeth of the SFG rotation (Lincecum, MadBum, Cain) while we throw our back end (ZNN, EJ, Det).  The offense has got to find a way to scratch out 5-6 in two of these games off of otherwise great pitching.  Being at home should help - and it's hot enough that the ball should carry.

Yea, we're getting a rather difficult test here. MadBum and Cain are two of the top 10 pitchers in the NL. Lincecum is coming off a Cy Young type start.

I"m not sure that the SF series will skew the hitting numbers any less than than facing the Rockies pitchers in Colorado.  It will just be in the opposite direction against the Giants.

Hopefully we can scratch out a couple of 3-2 type wins.

This isn't a tough series for the Washington Nationals. This is a tough series for the Giants. They're on the road versus the #1 team in the National League. Poor heathens are about to be skull f---ed by the Nasty Nats.

When you're #1, you gotta have the confidence of #1

I haven't felt this much confidence since the Yankees series.
