Slate, you are the first person I have seen make a negative comment about The Hurt Locker.
I have not seen it, but didnt that movie win a bunch of awards?
I've seen it I think 3 times now. It keeps getting harder to watch each time though, overpoweringly intense. cmd's right, and also
the way certain characters show up only to die 5 minutes later really suggests a futility and hopelessness that's just as scary as the bombs.
