Gamechanger Marquis lands in San Diego.  About as far from NY as possible, but good for him.  He's a good guy and I hope he does well there.

He was there last year.

Pimental is a fallen starting prospect who had a good year or two in Salem, I think.

Has anyone that's been in Salem went anywhere the past five years?

The Red Sox might be a team to deal with for a lefty reliever, with Miller, Breslow, and F. Morales.

Their bullpen is overstuffed right now, with 7 righties (Bailey, Hanrahan, Uehara, Bard, Tazawa, Aceves, and Melancon) along with the 3 lefties.  Figure they go 5R & 2L.  I don't know Bard's option status, but I think Bailey might be the only other guy with options.

I'd like Morales for the Nats as pitcher capable of multiple roles.

Pitchers?  Kelly was in the Gonzalez trade and made the majors.  Other pitchers?  I forget if Bard wasconverted to a reliever there, and if Doubront pitched there, he's the #3/ #4 starter for them.  Position players include two Sox starters, Middlebrooks and Lavarnway, and I think Anthony Rizzo who was in the Gonzalez trade.  Salem  has had some talent.

For a minor league town, they have a really nice stadium.

I haven't kept up since I left there 15 years ago. I just remember seeing Wakefield pitch as a kid and thinking he sucked (this was before they became the Red Sux).

crap. We probably shared the same stadium once or twice mds. I used to line up with the other kids by the tin shack and try to catch the foul balls that came off the roof.

Back then they had Jason Kendall and a couple other major leagures.

They've built a new stadium since then.

I was actually at the first game at the new stadium, it's still a great minor league park.
