Dunn hits a 2 run bomb in first at bat. Then strikes out in his next at bat. Dunn being Dunn.

It really is too bad they take away a run for each K, or Dunn would be a really great hitter :mg:

Jamey Carroll just got thrown out by the first base ump after objecting to the close out call at first.  It wasn't a particularly animated protest, very quick hook though.  Twins manager ejected also.

We'll be saying this a lot this year.  I forget who said it, but he is almost the ideal replacement player to be passed around like Penny Lane in Almost Famous.  He can play adequate defense across the outfield, run a little, maybe draw a walk on a good day, and sit on your bench 5-6 games a week instead of one of your real prospects who you want playing every day.  I expect some other team desperate for fill in outfielders to put in a claim.  Who knows, maybe even the Red Sox given the crud they are throwing out there in the OF.  He'd be Brian Bixler for us instead of wasting Tyler Moore in that role.

Playing around with the CBS psorts player rater for my AL roto league, I noticed Tommy Milone rates as the 15th best pitcher and the 11th best starter, with a 6-4 record, 3.64 ERA, and a 1.1347 WHIP.

According to Vin Scully, Nyjer Morgan's 136 PA, from the start of the season, without an RBI is a MLB record.

Todd Coffey just served up a two run homer to the other CarGo.  His ERA is now 7.20.

This isn't likely to end well for him.

Who was the old record holder, Adam Dunn 2011?

Nope. Just remember him getting off to a good start, then have his appendix taken out... and flat lining upon returning.

Doug Slaten sighting....with the Pirates and he's still terrible but it's a new kind of terrible.  He's WILD now.  Almost HRod wild!

He walked three batters in one inning.  Add in a wild pitch and he almost took one of the batters head off with high pitch, inside.

He did get out of this somehow because Carlos Gomez was swinging for some reason when Slaten had clearly lost the strike zone.

Daniel Cabrera beat the Chiefs today.  Yes, he's in AAA (where he's always belonged).  He's starting for the Pirates AAA team.  His line today was 5.1IP, 6H, 5R, 5ER, 2BB, 4K

Lol. There's triple A. But then there is being on the Pirates triple A team. That's like being on a normal clubs AA team. Dude just needs to retire. I mean come on. He had to make some bank with the Os, and the Nats have him another 1.5 or so for one year. I can't stand when these guys who already made more than almost anyone will their entire lifetime won't wake up, realize the game has passed them by and call it quits.
