Since everyone is trying to jinx this. Our bullpen is still crap even if a mircale happens and English gets out of this alive.

In one way, Stammen's flameout is OK, because it will help Rizzo decide who to send to Syracuse. One thing's for sure: Jesse English is making a persuasive argument to stick around.

So this would probably be English's last inning if anyone reaches in the next frame, right?

So, I had to leave, just as the broadcast was starting up to play in a volleyball league I'm in on Wednesday nights and get back an hour and a half later and it's 7-7 in the bottom of the 3rd.  lol.  Goes to show you just never know.

This Jesse English kid looks like the real deal, huh?

I assume so. He's thrown 35 over 2.2. Probably Batista or Bergmann next, sadly...

I am hoping Pudge and Gonzo single and Desmond hits a home run, but actually I am secretly cheering for Gonzo to drive in the runner(s)

Can afford to send down Stammen when we recall olsen and wait until the weekend for the next pitching move.

If they do make a move, that would be my thinking as well.

The dude can hit.  Why waste a position player pinch hitting in the 5th?  Still got Zim and Desmond for later.
