Great diving play by Espy. I am going to submit that Kennedy or Guz would not have had that last year.

Last season people were saying the same thing about Belliard and Guzman.

Bob hits on something I've said before - Pudge would make a great skipper.  Anyone wonder if he's talked to the Nats about that possibility?

That's where I always thought he was heading.

I think Kennedy would have at least dove for it.  not sure if he would have been able to get back after leaning the wrong way on contact.

I like his game.   I hope his hitting/OBP gets to the point where they let him lead off.  THEN we have ourselves a second baseman with all upside.

I have heard people say that exceptional players do not make good coaches. If you can do it all, you expect others to be able to, too. Then again, since he was never an awesome hitter, maybe he would be good at it. I'd give him a shot when he's finished playing.

It's raining again north and west of the city. Expect more rain delay in a half hour or so.

That would be nice, I wouldn't mind seeing that.  Especially since it seems like he's pretty much out of gas as far as playing.

Looks like Morse is exploitable on inside heat. Thankfully the Braves are working away.

Isn't one of our guys supposed to be sitting behind the plate for today's game?

Why would they even try to pick off Morse?

It's not like he's going anywhere.

Yeah for real.  Not exactly the speed demon.  Don't know why he was looking back when was running to second either.

He watched that inside two seamer. A lot of guys would have tried to hit that.
