A lot of blame goes to Bernadina for this mess.

You have to get a better read off of contact with Morse. Has to score.
Linty it wasn't that easy of a read

Interesting baseball day so far.    Went to the Green Turtle to eat lunch.   Met a friend at the 6th and F NW location (Verizon Center).    Looked up and there was the game jersey/signed of Chad Cordero, framed on the wall.    Got on the green line train back to L'Enfant Plaza.   It was empty when it arrived at Gallery Place around 12:45.    A guy got on and sat across from me.   He was maybe 45 years old, had brown and gray hair and shorts.   The thing I noticed was his red t-shirt that had "Fear the Turtle" on it.

Anybody we know?   I had a white collared shirt with "Old Guard" over the left breast.   If it was one of this crew, holler at me.

Now I'm at home checking the game.    Go Nats  !!!

good teams find a way to score in that inning.  we're not a good team.  we're average.

You just can't waste opportunities against Pineda like that.

A double, walk, and a single and we score none.

Yup. A good team is up at least 2-0 right now. Going to come back to bite us.

Your RBI leader struck out on 3 pitches and Pudge couldn't make contact either.

Chance to go over .500 and sweep pissed down the drain. Wasted RBI chances with the heart of the lineup up today.

RZ with a runner on 3rd and 1 out FAILS. Espinosa bases loaded and 1 out FAILS.

Nationals get bases loaded with 1 out.  Nobody scores...

Mariners  0
Nationals 0

Prediction: Nationals will homer off Pineda.

I don't get how he can look so good and then go up there and be late on all those fastballs down the middle of the plate.

dude the run was safe.  don't know what else to tell you.  sure, he should've hit it further in the outfield, hell a 2-run homer, but the ump missed that call.

Maybe because Pineda is really good?

Honestly... have you ever watched baseball before?

Even the very best hitter gets a hit just three out of 10 times.

He looked safe but if RZ singled or hit a legit fly ball the run scores easily.

Fastballs down the middle of the plate. We didn't need a grand slam, we merely needed a fly ball. He couldn't even put the ball into play.

And therein lies the problem with Ks. They do hurt in some situations.
