What about finding a number 1?  :?
Put it this way ... Shairon Martis won't be the only National who has pitched a no-hitter previously in his career.

I used to think they were fun, now I hate them as well.  We're getting old, Natbu

i love west coast games.

Guzman - 6
Johnson - 3
Zimmerman - 5
Dunn - 9
Dukes - 8
Willingham - 7
Belliard - 4
Nieves - 2
Cabrera - 1

i like the line-up minus nieves (although i'm sure he'll call a good game) and hopefully belliard can get out of his slump (again why is hernandez getting all these days off - he's been solid at the 8-hole).  maybe b/c ronnie baseball has more pop and with flores gone, manny wants to see some in the 7 spot.

good to see willingham get the start today, he deserved it after yesterday's performance and this road trip overall.

That we are.

Plus, West Coast games are so inconsiderate of those on the East Coast.

son of a nag :hang:

I hope Flores isn't hurt bad. Why the freak is Anderson getting shafted?

Didn't Acta also see that Belliard is 4/21 with 7 Ks lifetime against the Big Unit? :hang:

Agree with Hammonds, they don't want to rush Flores back.

I'm at a loss to explain why Hernandez isn't playing.

I'll tell you exactly why Belliard is playing and Hernandez, who has been stellar of late, is benched. Because Manny is a freaking dumbass. As posted earlier, Belliard has by far the most ABs against Johnson of anyone on the team. And to Manny that means, "Wow, 22 ABs! He's got to be in the lineup tonight!" Of course the idiot is too stupid to notice he's batting under .200 against Johnson, and thus we get what we are used to from Manny. Sheer, utter, total and complete stupidity and moronic moves.

Johnson's had a very long career, and I'd hardly extrapolate results from his prime to cover current matchups.  He's still a very solid pitcher, but no longer the scary dominator of the past.  We can hit this guy.

Zimmerman was on MLB Tonight talking about the streak.  The guys asked if he was doing anything differently because of the streak.  He said he is doing everything the same, except that he has kept the same cleats and batting gloves.  Usually, he said, he changes his cleats every other week and his gloves nearly every week.  The gloves he has now are on his last leg, though.

Not so fast...  although the Pens just tied it up late...

Awful penalty call with 2:02 left, unbelievable
