No, no they don't.

When he was hurt people were calling for his head a few seasons ago.

That Morse hit keeps his BABIP high

I took one for the team and benched Zimm in fantasy league, so that's why he's getting hot. I cut Werth, maybe I went too far.

Catcher offense is always a bonus IMO.

Unless you're Joe Mauer, in which case it's expected -- and noticed when it suddenly disappears, as per this season.

Actually, as one of those people who was really pissed at Zim in '08, I think he's right.

We are seriously going to be good with Stras/Harper/Rendon/etc. Of course this is ideally with Espy becoming a star (IMO, he's damn close), Morse keeping this up, and Werth getting back to his career averages.

Pissed is different than the stuff he's saying.  Hell, people are pissed at Zimmerman right now (well, before 5 minutes ago)

Espinosa doesn't even need to be a star. I'd say his peak is 25-30 HR .260 AVG

People talk about Zim not getting fired up and that affecting leadership and all kinds of bs. It's obviously not true.

I just read a great Joe Posnanski article (wherein he labelled Adam Dunn the least exciting player in all of Major League Baseball) where he described every Bobby Abreu at-bat as being as fun and interesting as an audit.

You know that is star caliber for a 2B, right?

The 3-run HR buys him a little goodwill, I think.

Ugh... Bad Lannan.

No, I don't think so.  People say he's a quiet leader and not an interview-type, which is something totally different.

Sucky, too many fat pitches.

He can't keep weaseling out of these jams. He's been very lucky so far. Giving up lots of hard hit balls
