Could they hit over 40k for both today and tomorrow's game?  Pretty big crowds for Monday and Tuesday.

Crowds could really swell down the stretch if the Nats can get a grip on first place. Everyone keeps saying that this town loves a winner. Well, there you have it.

Yep, and 36K on Sat., 28K on Friday, and 35K on Thursday.

Friday's weather forecast was dicey, IIRC, so that might have had something to do with that.

What's the deal with standing room tickets?  Do they only put them on sale for near sold out games?  I saw them pop up late on stub hub for the O's game tonight.  And now seeing a bunch show up for tommorrow's gnome game.

If that assumption is true, then I have to say it is pretty bad form to put up an extra 1000 or so SRO tickets when you know that the game is only selling out because of the 25,000 toys you are giving out and just setting it up to piss off and disappoint more people.

Anyone who makes a decision to attend or not on the basis of a freaking garden gnome deserves to get screwed IMHO.

I go to watch the Nats.  Getting the gnome is icing on the cake.

Took about 1:15 to get here. Arrived at 5:40, lot on half/m by fire house was jammed. Got our gnomes though. Concourses are the most packed I've ever seen before any game other than opening day

I cashed in red carpet rewards points for a pair of the cheapest available seats about 10 days ago, e-mailed the pair to a friend who lives near the park, and had him walk over to get a gnome for him and a gnome for me.   Total out of pocket expense for both of us: $0.  This may even be better than when I used red carpet rewards to get a pair of diamond club tickets for Strasmas (although that one was a lucky guess).

I would have thought that game would have been on the RCR blacked out list. Good for you.

Went first to the Centerfield Gates - pretty mobbed.  Then went to the Left Field Gate - much less congested.  They opened all gates at 4:30 p.m. Got the Gnome with no problem.

As for the game, it's really sad how many times we had opportunities to score but didn't.  We just can't win consistently without the big boppers - namely Zimmerman and Harper.

There was a sold-out crowd but it was a disappointing evening.

Considering that Jason Werth killed two rallies, they might consider a Jayson Werth goat next time.

He also had the best hit of the night and a great throw from rf to home

People were offering $20 for gnomes on the way out. Best promo ever.

I agree - Jason Werth got a big hit.  It's just a pity he was thrown out at the plate - the whole game might have been different if he scores.  And I love his gnome!

I've seen people offer about that for other bobbleheads at the park. One time, there was a quy inside the park offering $10 for a bobblehead (can''t remember which one, but I think it was in 2012) and he had two huge trash bags full of ones he bought.

I will end up trading one of my bobblehead doubles once the hysteria passes.

I generally just give them to some kid because I can't carry two beers and a bobblehead.

Exactly.  It is a bobblehead doll not a child or dog, or beer.  This will brig exactly 0.00 extra anything to your life.

Bobbleheads are more valuable and less trouble than children

I just grabbed a Nyjer Morgan bobblehead for $8 on Ebay.  I need Dmitri Young and Jose Guillen to complete the Jim Bowden collection.

Bobbleheads  are just fun to collect so I guess they actually bring enjoyment to my life.
