explain please?

I didn't meant to even watch the show it just came on after I watched something on DVR.  In the first 10 minutes (I didn't watch past that) they covered almost every racist thing you could imagine.  It just seemed odd watching a show living up to/playing on all the things that the African American community cries out against.

At least it has Fishburne in it though. He's cool. In any case though, who the freak watches sitcoms still? It's a dead format IMO.

I'd like to know too, I have that and Forever sitting on my DVR
It's basically a standard procedural cop drama show with the Batman elements padded in. The show also acts real coy when it meets the future villains of the show. "Why do you have to give your answers in Riddle." "You walk just like a Penguin." The Penguin is probably the most entertaining part of that show with his crazy personality. So yeah, I wasn't too impressed with the pilot but I think it has potential.

I liked Gotham, but I could see it being terrible from here on out. Could be one of those shows that goes all in to make a great pilot and then fizzles from there on.

I also really enjoyed How To Get Away With Murder, although it's weird seeing the prison guard John from Orange Is The New Black as a law school student. The law students as a whole are kinda "meh" but Viola Davis is awesome in the lead.

I also decided to watch Black-ish, mainly because it came on right after Modern Family and right before South Park/The League and I figured what the hell I got 30 minutes to kill. Lawrence Fishburn(sp?)is hilarious as the grandpa but the rest of the show sucks. Anthony Anderson just is not a very good actor(although he was really good as a bad guy in The Shield).

Pleasantly surprised by Gotham so far. The guy playing Penguin is just killing it.

At least the US special was only a few small rocks in Alabama and not a demand for them to leave the country :smh:

Um, I do, and it's not dead. Between Veep and Parks & Rec, there are two classic sitcoms on air right now (though Parks & Rec is well past its prime), and in Brooklyn 99 and Silicon Valley there are at least two more pretty darn good ones.

Andre Braugher as Captain Holt is the funniest person on TV, period. Love him so much.

Okay guys, can we talk about how awesome this book is going to be:

And, whether you like them or not, New Girl and Big Bang Theory are alive and well, too (I get a wide range of opinions on those two across demographics). A well done sitcom is timeless. The methods we consume them, however, have changed drastically.

Big Bang Theory isn't the show it used to be. I hope they end it soon.

Veep is fantastic. Probably the most underrated show in television.

I feel like this happened with Parks and Rec too.

No mention of Its Always Sunny?  That show hits the spot for me in a very scary way.

Nothing lasts forever. They just signed a new huge deal, I think it'll be around a while longer. Maybe they'll go through a break-up or two. Might be good for the show.

If you can watch it for what it is sure.  It's staged like most reality tv.  Makes for fun mind-numbing 20 minutes assuming you DVR and fast forward.

It sounds like a remake of Dirty Jobs.
