I would not put Redding in that category. He has had 10 solid outings out of 12 and an ERA 3.42 starting the game. He also throws a rising fastball at 92-93. This start he is coming back from a bruised elbow so I would expect some rustiness. He has good stuff and I hope they sign him for a couple of years at least.
Hanrahan is another story. He does not have the mental discipline right now to pitch in the majors. He does have great stuff and is a rookie so I would not give up on him. Bascik is at best a spot starter but has done a great job in relief so I see a role in the bullpen for him next year possibly.
Redding started hot but he has quickly fizzled out.
Last 3 starts: 11.1 IP 10 R 10 ER 2 HR 12 BB 4 SO (0-1, 7.94 ERA)
He walks way too many batters and leaves way too many pitches over the plate.
