Jim Bowden was a front office man.  Quit being a contrarian just because you don't like sportsfan ASSCLOWN, Linty.

bah humbug.

Actually... the Top 50 list that I really do care about is on tonight on the MLB Network.

They're releasing their Top 50 prospects at 8 p.m. est.

Linty must not have been on here when Law was bashing the Nats and their fans a while back.

Chief even offered him to come to the forum to answer questions and he declined.

Law did an interview with NFA back then too.

i'm not saying that I like Keith Law at all, I think he's a weasel.

but you have ridiculously biased reasoning for going "trusting Fanhouse" over him. if Law had ranked the Nats higher, you'd have no complaints with him.

Jonathan Mayo (mlb.com's minor league writer so I'm assuming that he's got a hand in this) is one of my favorite writers, but I don't think he's a front office guy- doesn't mean I don't trust him.

FTR, I don't necessarily have a problem with Law's ranking, I just don't like the guy.  Furthermore, he doesn't inherently have credibility in everything he does just b/c he's a former FO guy.  He's been wrong at times.  I don't know the guy from fanhouse's track record with prognostications and scouting, but it's unfair to dismiss him out of hand because he had a lower FO position than Law.  His assessment of the Nats is defensible, if not slightly optimistic and lending to more consideration of recent performance.

Bowden wasn't just a front office man, like Law was. He actually ran two front offices. Law never did that.

so I'm sure Linty would be more inclined to trust Bowden's judgement over Keith Law's.

right?

Judgement of players? Its questionable... but on the day to day operations... absolutely.

I don't argue with everything he says... only 90% of it.

lets pull the rankings of the last 5 years and see how that team has performed in the following years.

what is so great about mlb's list tonight?

does anyone other than SS have a chance of being on it?

Storen or Norris maybe as longshots to make it?

I wish I got MLB Network :(

Not even SD? Most cable companies and TV providers got a piece of the network for carrying it, I thought.

doesn't work, certain teams have no farm system, but spend enough on free agents that it doesn't matter

Doesn't account for free agent impact.
