Watched Million Dollar Arm--the story of the two guys from India. Nice movie. I believe that Rinku Singh is still officially with the Pirates although he has issued the last two years due to injuries.

Was dragged to 50 Shades of Grey by the girlfriend.

Wasn't the bomb I was expecting... but not my cup of tea.

Sorry. I've heard that it's very boring.

It's maybe the most poorly written book I've ever read. It explains why American women are usually  terrible in the sack until their 30s. So much repression. But I can see how if they didn't do a massive overhaul, it would be a poor movie. It also seems obvious to me that the author really didn't understand BDSM.

Takes a big man to admit that...  :P

Oops. Even thinking about the book freaks up grammar.

IIRC, the book had a glorified rape scene in it. The woman never gave consent. So I guess what I've learned is that if you're rich and good looking, it's not rape, it's exciting.

I'd argue that it isn't really an explanation of why American women allegedly suck in bed during their youth, Slate. Twenty-somethings aren't the ones buying it and obsessing over it; it's the bored forty-something housewives that are the primary audience. It may speak to repression, but not quite in the way you're attributing to it.

Probably true. Honestly when it dawned on me that a lot of the same people who rail against frats and "the patriarchy" are claiming the book is some sort of expression of sexuality in the 21st century, I felt kind of ill.

"The Imitation Game" was really awesome.  The movie kept us on the edge of our chairs throughout the movie, waiting to see what would happen next.

Is this related to Kung-Pow from like 12 years ago? Similar vibes I got from trailer.

2IPAs is making me watch "Hot Tub Time Machine" tonight on the Comedy Channel.  This is so we're prepared to see "Hot Tub Time Machine II" at the movie theatre tomorrow.  Wish me luck ...

Was looking for any reactions from the Original Rangers.  The only one who's mentioned it online is Jason David Frank.

Saw Kingsman: The Secret Service today.    I thought it was a bit odd but entertaining.    Certainly a spoof on James Bond IMO.

We saw Kingsman this past weekend.  I couldn't wait for the movie to get over.  The plot was just violence, violence, and more violence.

Bizarre violence on top of that.    Exploding heads?    Let me add though, the music with the exploding heads was great.    :P

Saw Whiplash last night. Fantastic movie. Felt more like a sports or war movie rather than a movie about Jazz. Teller and Simmons were brilliant. Can't recommend it enough.
