IN THE WORDS OF YOGI BERRA,
THIS IS LIKE DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN!

Batting 7th, Belli hits TWO home runs and an RBI single for 3 RBIs.

Air Zimmerman traveled all the way from BUFFALO, NEW YORK to see the Nationals play Pittsburgh at PNC Park.  He didn't know that Belliard would return from the DL and START when he got the tickets.  Belliard tossed him a pack of Bazooka gum when AZ called out to him at a game he attended in Toronto last year.  Tonight had to be a dream come true for AZ, an unforgettable memory.

Tonight was a dream for me with 5 g-d homers, tons of drama, lights out pitching from Rauch, Elijah Dukes looking like a professional ball players, the smug homer idiots on FSN Pittsburgh at a loss for words, Redding righting the ship and pitching pretty well, a good .1 inning for Manning, etc.

Manning made LaRoache look ridiculous -- don't know if that was Manning or if LaRoche needs Lasik ...

Manning has quietly started to pitch better. He made two killer mistakes (HR to A-Gon, HR to Gerut) in two games in SD that cost us 2 games but since then he has been much better.

Manning's Numbers: 10.1 IP 7 H 3 R 3 ER 2 HR 6 BB 12 K

He's sure a heck of a lot better than career minor leaguer Brian Sanches.

To keep him from stressing - he can be scaled back to 1 pitch per game for a while.

I like Manning myself -- definitely earned the right to stay up with the big club ...

Manning is a keeper.  We need to ship Ayala, Colome, and Dirty out.

Indeed, the Nats called on the holy trinity of Ronnie, Lastings and Elijah to key the dramatic victory, all in deference to AZ's big visit.  Can't ask for a better game!    :woop:
