this is a report on him after we drafted him in '07:
Quote
Fastball:   Meyers has been clocked in the 92-94 mph range, but was throwing 88-91 in his first start.
FB Movement:   His fastball does have some sink to it.
Slider: Meyers' slider can be a plus pitch at times and he reportedly worked on increasing the velocity of it during the offseason, but it did not stand out in this start.
Changeup:   When it's working, it's a good offering. But Meyers has had trouble throughout his career finding consistency with it.
Control: While walking only one, Meyers continued not miss many bats, striking out just three in six innings despite having above-average stuff.
Physical Description:   At 6-foot-6, Meyers has the prototypical projectable pitcher's body.
Medical Update:   Healthy.
Strengths:   His size and the hint of plus stuff.
Weaknesses:   Inconsistency with his stuff. He didn't really have an out pitch in his first start.
Summary:   Scouts have been watching Meyers since high school (the Mets drafted him in the 14th round in 2004) and will continue to do so because of the potential and the body type.

I believe he has a much higher ceiling than Stammen.
