Really? I had been looking forward to this show for ages, and Keri Russel's return to TV. I've been extremely disappointed. One big example, their neighbor FBI agent. Okay... Just as the show starts, after they've been here a decade, the FBI agent working on their *ing case just happens to move next freaking door? That's insane and contrived.

Homeland works because the tension and drama are plausible, if absurd. This... Not so much.

Homeland is plausible? Maybe season 1, but Hot Tub Time Machine was more based in reality than season 2.

ding ding ding ... i mean we're talking about TV here ... look at dexter ... yeah like a blood splatter analyst for a major city's crime unit goes around killing guilties b/c he's some vigilante and has been one for 8+ years.  real believable.

it's tv.

the Office was really good last night, Stanley's line stole the show.  The last 4-5 weeks have been fantastic.  I'm now at the point where i'm going to miss it.

I can't decide who's the better recurring cast member in Parks and Rec. It's either Jean-Ralphio or Perd Hapley.
Jean-Ralphio getting a job at the accounting company and getting fired and walking back out the door, all in one single take, is maybe my favorite scene from that show.

"You're fired!"
"That makes sense... so I just go out the same way I came in?"

Anyone else as utterly disappointed with Touch this year as I am? From one of the 'brilliant' minds behind the cluster* that was Heroes, it shouldn't surprise me. But it does. They clearly had no clue what the point of their own show was - the 'goodness' of humanity. One guy does one small thing, it changes another person's life a world away. That was what made Touch so great last year, each episode a personal story looking at the unexpected impact we have on the world around us.

It was lighthearted and optimistic, and now it's all about bad guys, the big bad evil corporation - doing good by stopping bad people from doing bad things, instead of doing good just by doing good. There's enough crap out there focusing on the evils man is capable of. Last year it was like a less religious Touched By An Angel, but now? Not so much.

Heck, even the concept of Sutherland's son being special and unique is blown to shreds with a seemingly endless supply of 'gifteds.' Why was Danny Glover's character so obsessed when there were dozens more out there? And all of them can talk. Having Jake, and thus anyone like him, mute seemed vital to the show - people possessing unimaginable knowledge and unable to communicate with words. That was the entire premise behind the 'magic numbers' when Jake could only express what he knew through them, each of which was part of some larger 'God number.'

Of course, I can't stand the character of Amelia's mother or the actress playing her... That sums it all up - remove the social worker woman, a nice and loving character, an 'outside' perspective skeptical of the strangeness and replace her with a neurotic, unsympathetic nut.

How they can not only change a show so fundamentally in one season, but at the same time changing every single thing that made it enjoyable... I'll give it another week or two, but their direction seems clear at this point.

I thought so, too. I watched it and then recorded the replay. I think AtBC would like it. Now I just have to convince him that they play some kind of sport so he'll watch it.

Watched the first 3 episodes of the new season of Top Gear this week, very enjoyable so far, especially the U.S. challenge.

Zero Hour was interesting. My wife and I both liked it. Far fetched? Very much so, but it entertained me. Big Bang Theory was great this week too.

I like Zero Hour as well. I didn't even know what it was when I started watching it, but I find the storyline pretty interesting, and I like how things unfold and keep you guessing.

Fords have fans? Do any of them actually drive?
