We're swinging early and often.

Whoever said the field looks small on TV was right...  I've been there and I know it isn't that small, and yet on TV it really looks it.

I wouldn't.  Dukes doesn't work the pitcher like Kearns.  Kearns isn't hitting, but he always works the pitcher deep into counts and has a good OBP.  Dukes does neither, and he is inferior defensively.  I think a bunch of people have bought into the hype of Dukes, when he has done absolutely nothing at the major league level.
Yeah, Kearns' .302 OBP is amazing!

How is that working out?

Usually the radio broadcast calls the play about 5 seconds before the play is seen on MASN tv, but that doesn't appear to be the case tonight.  If anything, the radio team might be a second or two behind.  Maybe they adjusted, but it's not distracting.

I'm watching through a digital cable converter; I have another tv on an analog converter and have noticed timing differences in broadcast of the same game.

Dukes has only had 20 ABs. Kearns has had 150 ABs.

Unbelievable. 4 pitches, 2 outs.

I assume this isn't typical?

They are literally swinging at every pitch.

Is it just me or does Dmitri, in his stock photo, have way bigger HAIR than last year?

You have to give youngster Dukes more time.  I know it hasn't been a pleasant start, but they've given Kearns three years to prove his worth and it's not much.  Dukes has had 20 at bats.

12 pitches over the last 2 innings and that's with 2 hits.

exactly. we've given Kearns three years.  we can at least give Dukes a month or so.

Dukes and Pena should never be in the lineup together.  We need to give Willie Harris those starts.

his Minor League career .282/.370/.450 says otherwise.

an .820 OPS isn't bad for someone who "couldn't hit in the minors". *shrug*

Talking about this year.  We brought him up when he couldn't even hit minor league pitching.
