Nice to see that Lannan is back to his same crappy self. At least the Braves can thank him for taking Ryan Howard out of the lineup for a while.

I hope they demote him for real after this game.

Home run derby pitching.

Don't know how old you are but that was a great show in the late 50's and early 60's.

THIS is why we can't have a seven-game winning streak.  A winning streak of ours will always run into someone like John Lannan.

If Strasburg is taken off the DL immediately, he can make the next start in this position.  I wonder if they'd do that.

I doubt that happens though. I think I read somewhere that he's tossing a simulated game on Thursday.

I saw old episodes on DVD. It was pretty cool to see guys like Hank Aaron and Willie Mays, when they were young.

You can still watch those old shows online.

Hamels 1st inning 7 pitches- 5 strikes

Dibble just said the same thing. He gets his stats from WNFF.

I used to watch it all the time.   Mays, Aaron, Mantle, etc.    I guess that's how the guys made a few extra bucks back in the day.

Nope. Probably next start at home.  "If it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense. (Cents)"

I fear that even this isn't enough to finish Lannan in the minds of our front office.  Remember how long it took to cut bait with all the dreck we had in the bullpen last year.

Remember all those posts from game threads when we were sure it would be the end for whichever one imploded that night, yet it took many, many implosions to free ourselves from them.

We waited months before the likes of Hanrahan, Colome and others to get demoted.

Mit one season 1960 and than the announcer Mark Scott died of a heart attck that same year.  The producers decided not to do the show anymore after his death.

It's amazing how bad John Lannan really is.  Two years of results not matching ability is now swinging all the way back the other way.  He's horrendous.  He is not a major league pitcher.  This was Matt Chico's start.

Technically, since Strasburg was scheduled to start, today's pitcher SHOULD BE Miguel Batista, with the first ceremonial pitch by... :worship:  Miss Iowa, Katherine Connors.
