A chance to sweep a series from the Cardinals for the first time since 3rd/4th/5th August 2007 at RFK.

I wonder what the min. score to hit 11 homers would be since you'd need 11 plate appearances, it can be done there have been 2 12 PA games, but those were extra innings

This is off the top of my head;  If the player batted lead-off and hit 11 HRs in 11 PAs I believe his team would have to score 41 runs to get him there thru 9 innings.  He would drive in 31 of the 41 runs and the team would leave 24 men on base.

It occurs to me now that that's probably why they invented logos for the jerseys.

I can't believe the Mets are still at .500.  How the hell is Dillon Gee 7-0 with a sub 3 ERA?  He was never particularly good in the minors.

I still think we'll finish ahead of the Mets - I'll be surprised if the Fish continue to flop and we finish ahead of them.

Last night in the post-game they said Lannan was pitching with three days rest.

I thought the Marquis suspension was worked out so that all the pitchers were on regular five-day schedule.

And wait a minutes, that Padres "throwback game" was five days ago.

Maybe I mis-heard.  Or the announcers mis-spoke.

Maybe they misremembered like Andy Pettite.

Well the tit count is reduced by 50% but that is approximately 50% shy of our target.
