Thought Ryan was coming out of this slump after last night.

Nick wants to walk.  But, he'll swing in a pinch.

Nick wants to walk.

That's ridiculous and I doubt that's his mentality.

J-Max just made a gem diving catch for the Chiefs. He also singled last half inning. Looking real good as of late.

Olsen looks so-so. He's giving up a lot of hard hit balls but has avoided giving up any runs through 3.

3 IP 4 H 0 R 0 ER 0 BB 1 K.

That's not that terrible a line. But I would give him one more start in AAA to gain more confidence and also to see how our young pitchers can do with 2 more starts each.

That pitch was close enough.

I'm loving Stammen lately. Any chance they send down Martis and keep Stammen up?

In the pre-game Nats Xtra, that's exactly what Ray Knight suggested should happen.

Perfect game ends with a hit.  Red Sox hitting coach ejected from the dugout, arguing balls & strikes.  Walked anyway.

That pitch was clearly a strike above the knee caps. It could have been 5 inches lower and still gotten called. I am so sick of these freakers from Boston and NY arguing balls and stikes with the umpires and getting away with it. They should have thrown Youklis out last night when he did the same thing. Francona is a mental midget who would be nowhere if not handed a team with a 120M dollar payroll to manage.
It sucks because Stammen probably is afraid to throw the low pitches now.

Ortiz was a juicer and is probably just getting back on it. You have to believe he can be beaten.
