I have long thought that Davey was among the more creative of managers, but he has become much too formulaic of late. And that was the downfall of  Manny, and then Riggleman.  Pull the starter after 6 and then use your 7th, 8th, and 9th inning pitchers.  At least Davey let's the starter go seven, but you're right, no reason, especially given the current state of our bulpen, to automatically pull the starter after 7 just to be faithful to the formula. 

Davey hasn't been creative as the Nationals' manager. Uses left/right matchups way too much. MUST go with the 8th inning guyin the 8th.
