SF, where do you get your lineups?  I always check Nationals Journal, but they aren't up there yet.

Both outfielder Josh Willingham and shortstop Cristian Guzman are getting the night with what interim manager Jim Riggleman referred to it as "general aches and pains."

"We're giving Josh Willingham a day off; he's a little banged up," Riggleman said. "We just felt like this would be a good day to for him to sit one out and hopefully come back tomorrow,"

With both of those players sitting out, Riggleman moved Adam Dunn to the three hole with Ryan Zimmerman batting cleanup.

"Josh has been great protection for Adam [Dunn] and we just felt like without him in the lineup, the best way to see some more pitches would be to have [Ryan] Zimmerman hit behind him," said Riggleman.

It won't be a long term situation because when Willingham return to the lineup on Sunday, Dunn will move back to the No. 4 spot.

RZ batting clean-up :pimp:

I hope he uses the same lineup tomorrow

Also Padilla getting a start, now if only Morse were playing instead of Belliard, I'd be pretty happy with the lineup.

The Skins pre-season game means more than this.

That's a terrible lineup. Why would we bat a terrible offensive player in the 2 hole? This is what I would have done:

Morgan
Belliard
Zimmerman/Dunn
Dunn/Zimmerman (doesn't matter really)
Dukes
Padilla
Gonzalez/Morse
Nieves
Lannan

totally on board with this GMU.  gonzalez is atrocious and the fact he's batting 2nd makes me think how has it come to this?!?!

Riggleman hates Morse.
he likes established vets.

after Sosa took a crap on the mound last night Riggleman said that he guesses that Sosa was rusty and that he intends to use him more frequently :bang:

As of 6:00 p.m. the tarp is on the field with a steady rain falling. After looking at the radar and talking with a few people in the organization, the game will not start at 7:05 p.m.

I'm hearing there is a window to start the game between 8:30-9:00 p.m., but the window looks pretty small.

Maybe they will try to get as many innings in as possible and hope for the best.

After all, it is Frank Howard bobblehead night.

I don't see any way this game gets played. For those of you who got it wrong, it's "John Lannan and pray for rain" not "John Lannan  pray for rain ".

If there is a doubleheader, I'll be able to stay for the first game, but wouldn't be able to stay for the second.

P.A. just announced that first pitch will be at 8:25 pm. I think that might be a little optimistic, but it seems the worst is over.

Damn, already 2-0?  Hell, I may keep the 'Skins radio stream on instead of switching to Charlie and Dave.

Rain delays always seem to kill this team.  It's like they go relax in the clubhouse during the delay and forget they might still have to play a game.
