Dukes Ks again. That pitch did look a little low though.  :?

Was that really a strike?

I think that was ball 4. The ump helped them out big time there because we couldn't get our pitcher out of the way.

They need to make a rule for Dukes that he can't swing until the 3rd pitch of an at bat.  The guy can't hit anything, so all he is good for is running up pitch counts.

Yeah, hopefully getting that first HR will take some pressure off him and he'll start really turning it on.

I don't care if he hits .200 as long as that 1 hit every 5 tries is a homer.

Apparently Dukes' reputation is influencing the umpires' calls when he is batting. He just got up here a few weeks ago and he has been called out on close pitches more than any body.

That would be awesome if he wound up getting 360 at bats

Perez is playing with house money.  Just a matter of time before he totally implodes.  We need to put up a ton of runs this game.

I am reserving judgement myself.  He's been more than serviceable thus far, but he was rough last time out and there are some who seem to think he will be downhill from here.

Guzman is an underrated fielder. He's made so many tough plays look easy this season.

He's one of those guys that is frustrating because he is allergic to throwing strikes and contact and because of that he rarely goes deep into games.

Very nice pitch there.

Come on, bats! Wily Mo can't be the only guy that provides offense in a game, right?

The Marlins just swept the D'Backs and now tonight they are down 7-1 early to the lowly Giants.

He did the right thing by not throwing a fastball there. Weeks KILLS fastballs.
