Hall of Fame class announced: Jack Butler, Dermontti Dawson, Chris Doleman, Cortez Kennedy, Curtis Martin and Willie Roaf.

No Bill Parcells.  Bettis and Cris Carter missed out as well.

The fact that they feel the need to induct players every year is a joke to me. I've seen too many players recently inducted that I don't believe deserve to be enshrined in the HOF. It diminishes the aura about being a HOF player. Chris Doleman was a very good player who had a couple of great seasons. Cortez Kennedy too had a couple of dominant seasons but neither of them should be in the HOF in my estimation. Dan Hampton and Harry Carson are others that immediately come to mind who should only get into the HOF by paying for a ticket.

Yeah that freaking blows. If the new guy isn't active for the game that means Underwood did something freaked up to get released.

they said it wasn't for any disciplinary action or anything, it was just a move to better suit their roster.  he was on media row all week with a full smile.  poor dude.

He'd actually gotten some playing time, so I was a bit surprised. This almost guarantees that 85 will be active (Welker, Branch, Edelman, Slater, him)

Belichik is trying to play mind games with the Giants.

Giants are playing mind games with the Patriots. They posted this on their website and changed it shortly thereafter.

actually, I'm guessing this may mean Ron Brace is inactive or perhaps another lineman.

Patriots inactives: Mallett, Faulk, Vereen, Guyton, Thomas, McDonald and Brace.

So we were both right :)

For us schmucks at work and watching the score on NFL, did Tom Brady really just get an intentional grounding penalty enforced in the endzone for a safety?

The Patriots defenders don't seem capable to read and react to the offense. They don't seem to understand simple defensive concepts.

Pats are very ordinary in the red zone against good defenses.

I know it's taken for granted that NE is used to the big stage but this team does not look equal to the stage so far in this game.

Yep, definitely not super. The commercials have even been mediocre.

Nice counter by NE. That was all Brady. They are going to come out of this lackluster half ahead by a point with possession to begin the second half.
