Looks like Young might be back in Sept:

Quote
I just received an e-mailed statement from Jim Bowden, sent to several media members, about the condition of a particular first baseman who hasn't played since the all-star break.

I'll copy and paste:

"Dmitri Young has been cleared medically to continue baseball activities. He is scheduled to report to Melbourne, Florida, on Saturday evening to get into baseball shape. His diabetes is under control. We are hopeful that he will be able to contribute to the Nationals major league team in September."

And remember, the winters are here not so cold, but very  very dark.
Sun raises at 8.30 and and goes down around 17.00

Summers are not so hot (however we can have some hot streaks with 30 C and more) and long long days.
Sun raises at 5.00 and goes down around 23.00.
On a bright night it doesnt get dark then.

Getting no-hit by Marquis is laughable.

Are you a local sports-talk show host or something?  Everything with you is either "laughable" or "a joke."  Can't you come up with some new material?  It's a long season and we'll suck next year too so you might as well try to get some new phrases.  Expand.

Young back, that would be wonderful.

The offense is still warming up...
Lets hope they can do much better than this.

And 2-0 with a homer from Lee

I swear, if the Cubs make it to the Series I will root for whoever represents the American League.  I'll even temporarily suspend my principles and root for the Red Sox if I have to.

Distance of the homer is 358 feet.
That means that in most parks it is caught?

I will too, but just because a lot of my friends are Cubs fans- when they say the nats suck, I want the 101 year rebuilding cycle to still be there

Your being awfully tough on him.  Maybe he's trying to take a light hearted, "laughing" and "joking" approach to the game.  Otherwise, we take this game too much to heart.  Then someone might grab hold of him and say:

WHY SO SERIOUS?!?!?!?!

Milledge should be on 3rd right now.  Just a bad base runner.  He was unaware that there was 2 outs.

Its funny -- to a man, my Cub fan friends do NOT want to face the White Sox in the World Series.  Anybody but the White Sox.  They'd rather not win the pennant.  Why?  The White Sox already have a World Title.  For us to lose to the Cubs would not be shameful.  But if the Cubs are beaten by the White Sox, they would never hear the end of it.  To quote my office mate, "It would be better not to go at all."

Wow.

Is anyone else listening to the Chicago radio broadcast?  I don't typically like to hammer on announcers, but Santo is just plain bad.  He offeres NOTHING.
