As much as Werth sucks in the field. You can tell he is a leader in the clubhouse and has a great attitude.

Yeah, no doubt about it. Both teams were doing their best to lose this one. In the end...one had to out suck the other one. It's a shame, because both teams deserved to lose this one.

They really do need to replace that horn sound. It doesn't sound too bad on TV, but I finally heard it at the park and it was terrible.

I said earlier someone needed to step up and be a leader and will this win when we were down 4-2. It wasn't pretty, but Nix and Werth still got it done.

We have an anemic offense, but we're bullheaded, and at least this year, we don't fold.

The horn is much cheaper than having to spend money on fireworks for HR's and wins. Whoever pitched the idea probably got a bonus from Lerner (probably $100 gift card to Olive Garden).

Excellent bunt by Livo. Glad Werth was able to swipe that base. Like I said earlier, I don't see him in this slump for this entire season and I can see him become a very useful ballplayer on this team but right now he blows. Hopefully he can do a few more things like he did today this week to somehow spark a hot streak.

I'm sure the yuppies that pushed the DC folks out when the neighbourhood went from open air drug market to disappointing yuppie enclave don't enjoy having their child-substitute dogs being startled by our fireworks.
