I think someone lost track of Rick Eckstein and they let him coach Bryce

Take the pressure off and bat him 7th, he's reeling.

He was 2 for 3 yesterday with a walk.  He's the least of our problems.

First, the three hits actually count.  The "since" condition is bullcrap.

I really hate selective stats. You know, Adam Laroche is batting .000 since Thursday or some such crap. Look at the entirety of the work please.

I do think he should be hitting 7th. Lombo can hit leadoff and Desmond can hit second

Remember in spring training when Bryce Harper said this?:

Quote
The other day, Eckstein and Harper had a conversation about how different major league pitchers would attack him. One National League East starter came up, and Harper described precisely how he thought the pitcher would approach. Eckstein nodded and said, “I think you’re right.”

“There are so many things that go through my head when I’m watching something,” Harper explained Friday. “I’m a little different. I sit there and think. I’ll watch it as a fan, but I’m a player, also. If everybody is looking cutter first pitch, and he’s throwing a get-me-over curveball 90 percent of the time, then you got to sit on that get-me-over curveball and crush it.”

Apparently he confirmed tonight that he was talking about Roy Halladay. ...that triple was on a get-me-over curveball.

He's a stud. His plate approach makes the rest of our lineup look like mental neck-beards.

More so than his blistering speed (kid has got some serious wheels) his patience at the plate has really blown me away.  He's really locked it.

As a kid, two times for me that I can remember:  Sandy Koufax and Tom Seaver.

Mickey Mantle somewhat but I was not a Yankee fan.

As an adult - Julius Erving.

I have no idea.   Too early to tell.  He's only 19.   I hope so (while he's here.)

What kind of a poster are you? None of us have any idea about anything. That doesn't stop us  from being positive about it though.

That avatar scores a 10 on the weirdness charts. And it is therefore my favorite.

What do you mean while he's here, dont you think the organization does what it takes to keep him long term? I mean teams like Cincinnati are keeping Votto at $225 million. I say Harper never leaves town

Doesn't matter if he's dead set to play for his childhood team.  He's a Nat for years at least.

You know what's crazy? We have two of the most hyped prospects in the last 30 years (possibly ever) in Strasburg and Harper and, so far, both have lived up to the hype. Strasburg is one of the best pitchers in baseball in just his second season and Harper, at 19, is one of our best players and is hitting better than previous 19-year-old superstars.

It's great to be a Nats fan.
