That pisses you off? This guy coaxes 71 wins out of a slapped together team last year and his calm demeanor pisses you off?

73 wins. Yeah, that type of play should never happen in the Majors. I expect the manager to ask Guzman/Tolman what they were thinking there.

Keep in mind that it was when he had his "closed door" session w/ the team last season that we started playing better.

actually, it's the players responsibility to be aware of how many outs there are, dumbass.

(Image removed from quote.)

anyways, hill is ZONIN' out there!  :pimp: :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:
I'm not absolving Guzman of blame.  But damn, Tolman's a freaking base coach who should be keenly aware of these things.

If he allowed this to happen with Zimmerman, then I don't know how the man has a job.

Nothing turns a professional athlete off more than a public appraisal. My guess is they'll both hear it out of public view, which is the right place and time.

73 wins. My bad.

It's Tolman's responsibility to alert him of that if he's right there at third base, dumbass.

Even so, dont make excuses for Guzman. He's gettin paid like 7 figures. Is it too much to ask him to remember how many outs there are(I mean its only three).

It shouldnt be Tolman's job to tell him how many outs there are.

The clubhouse is the right place for that kind of chewing out. I never call my employees out at work in front of others. It's a terrible approach.

That's exactly his job.  He's supposed to coach BASERUNNING.  Again, Guzman definitely freaked up big time, but Tolman's whole purpose for being there is to oversee the players and correct such mistakes if they do happen to occur.

QFT.  What we just saw should never happen.

Oh, I agree. I was just saying that Manny does have the ability to go off on the team. It wasn't his calm demeanor that made us win games last season.

I advocated that he bat high in the order, and people thought I was out of my mind.

Might as well since he can't drive 'em in. He doesn't have speed but he can get on base via walks and HBPs.

I don't like making an oft-injured pitcher attempt to drag bunt there. :?

"hammondsnats"?  Is that a joke?

I think I'll go register "JoeHorgan=Nasty" or something

nope, no joke.  my favorite athlete of all-time in all of sports.  he didn't have as great of a career as a lot of people thought he should, but he was an all-star in 2000 and had a few good years.  he also delivered the first walk off rbi in nationals history.  so there!!!

milledge is my new favorite now.

Trying to a bunt for a base hit. I remember him doing it last year when he was not allowed to swing the bat because of his injury.
