What's the point in taking MacDougal out now?

When a ball leaves the field on a home run, is it still considered a live ball?  If it's not, it's a different situation.  The deal here was that it was still a live play.

There was a problem this year with a ball that barely got out and one runner nearly passed the lead runner, and he would have been out.

I don't know but ain't it "live" 'til he touches the plate .... particularly on a walk off?

The Nats could've had 16 runs this game. The offense is fixed.

It's a record for a home game for the Nats.

Now, I don't mind these defensive substitutions.  If you can't get three outs with an 8-run lead, you don't deserve to win.

Make that 9-run lead.

Which team?
Hopefully the Nats. He has lights out stuff at times, he just needs to control his pitches better.
