i didn't see the wild pitch, but maybe he didn't get a good view of where the ball landed?  not making an excuse because i didn't see it, just a possible outcome.  or he just didn't get a great lead?

Werth screws us even when he gets on base.
I thought he was supposed to be a good baserunner. He is a freaking moron on the basepaths.

If Burnett comes in, the game is definitely over.
  Yep.  No faith in him.

Looking at Todd Coffey, that's why you don't trade Clippard.  People so underestimate how much bad relievers hurt your chance of winning.

You'll can just be bad with a bad centerfielder.  You can be historically bad with a bad bullpen.

This is the kind of game we need to figure out how to win if we truly want to finish .500 this year.

Werth's lack of hitting has affected his whole game.

there have got to be at least a few folks on here who watched the Nationals in 2009.

Right now, we don't have either.  Our centerfielder is doing a good job and our bullpen is above average.  Why we would mess that up is beyond me.

But back to the game.

I hate these awful slugfests. We have lost so many of these this year. Wasted chances offensively and TERRIBLE relief pitching.

Now Burnett :hang:

We can relax now.  This game is definitely over.  The only thing left to determine is by how much we lose.

Not so fast! We have Jerry "slugs a" Hairston up next inning with Matt "I can at least walk" Stairs!

He fell down at 3B last night on a pop fly and tonight a ball bounced past the catcher and the catcher then bobbled it again and he stayed at 1B.
