Batista should have to walk home.

Walk to Detroit ... through Toledo.

Announced attendance of 32,876 is Cleveland's best since their home opener - in fact it's the first time since their home opener that they've cracked the 30K mark, and only the sixth time since that opener they've gone over the 20K mark (going into today's match they were dead last in the majors in attendance at 16,023/fixture).

Interesting thing about those six 20K+ attendances since Opening Day - all but one were for interleague matches (the three Reds matches and the Friday Nats match, along with today's) - the only AL team to draw over 20K was Boston, in their series finale this past Thursday (20,446).

Release Batista. Bring back Stammen for long relief. Once through the batting order. Anything. Just no more Batista, and no Bruney.

Good win. This start was what I expected out of Strasburg his first time out. A bit wild but effective none the less.

NO MORE POST GAME INTERVIEWS!

It doesn't make it easier for him to be treated like a sideshow freak.   After the first game, was fine.  The second game is too much!

He definitely deserved it. Great relief appearance.

Maybe Dunn too he had a big game.

Interesting enough the Nats are 5th in road attendance for some reason.

What's wrong with postgame press conferences? Yea, he get's more attention. It's the nature of the game. It's really not a big deal to have him sit on a chair in a room compared to the clubhouse.

None of the other players do it.  And it is different than the clubhouse because the clubhouse is where all the other players are interviewed.  His ability makes him stand out.  Don't make him stand out any more.

The interviews should be done in the clubhouse, like the other players.

These interviews, in that setting, serves no other purpose than to gawk.  Why can't he be allowed to just fit in?

Why does anyone care how Batista pitched? Let him risk his leg on that POS mound instead of Clippard or even Stammen.

the number of media who want to talk to him is outrageous. it is impossible to accomodate for everyone in just the clubhouse. it's just how it is. if other players are jealous/want the attention/whatever they should grow up. its nothing new in sports. hell i'm pissed if i can't talk to ovechkin after a game because there are 5 tv cameras and 30 other reporters there.

this.  the kid has a huge media contingent following him, so they need to give him the space so there's not 35 reporters/10 cameras, etc.

but a good win for the guys today.

Just finished an abbreviated DVR viewing. I turned on the tv at 4:30 and heard about Batista's "horrible 9th" and thought it was extra innings. Turns out it's just another Acta classic.

By the way COAC - Cleveland's owners are cheap. The mound was made of Play-Doh, the team is horrible, people here need to realize what they have. I'm not impressed with Santana, Marte, or any of the supposed studs they've been stockpiling. Choo is a good player, and Hafner looks pretty scrawny . . .

Yeah... ok, not impressed by Santana? I guess that 1.021 OPS his first three games really proved how terrible he was, right??

No one said Marte was a 'stud' either. It's been years since he was considered a prospect.

I think Santana will be a decent player. Id take him as a backup (obviously) but he seems like a great type of a guy that can play well at Catcher... like a Flores, if he stays healthy.
