As for Manziel, I have not had as much fun watching a college player since Flutie. Of course, I saw Flutie's last home game at BC (v. Army -have the ticket stub).
When Manziel went down with the knee in the first quarter, I hate to say it, but it was almost comical how silent the stadium became. It was as if there had been some massive hit needing the ambulance straight on the field. It was quieter than a tennis tournament before a serve, and it was 90,000 people. It was pretty clearly twisted, and you did not know if it would need surgery initially, but it was not a spinal injury thing. Of course he came back in and threw 2 more touchdowns and ran for one.
Manziel is one of those guys who is an accurate enough passer that he would be very good if he never left the pocket. Who is his comparable style-wise? Brees?
