nice - DP. So Cabrera (even tho he issues a 4 pitch walk to boni) gets the job done and the Nats lead after a full inning!

Wow, beautiful inning by Daniel Cabrera. Fastball hit 93, too.

Actually, a great inning all around. Now I'm going to go eat lunch. Don't blow the lead!

He's best when he's between 92 and 94. He can still throw 97, but not accurately.

Yeah, I would rather have him stay in that range anyway.  Much higher than that could be dangerous for a player of Cabrera's control level.

Pretty typical inning for D-Cab....strikeouts, walks, a bit of a "oh my god he cant pitch" scare, followed by the "wow, he can really throw" praise....

way to go nieves

d-cab can top out at 98 (not anymore though) ... he usually tops out at 95-96.

It's a low strike day, and both catchers have paid.

exactly.  when he's commanding his heater and can complement it with his breaking stuff and slider, he's very tough to beat.

Guzman trying to drag. Needs to pull the bat back there, though.
