Hamilton will be a free agent after the year...any chance we have a 400 page thread about him?

100% unless we latch onto Hammels, in which case Hamilton only gets a 75 page plan b thread

JCA - I view the Werth signing as very similar to the JD Drew signing as well, surprisingly.  Whether or not it will have a serious impact on future spending has yet to be seen.

Lackey was destine to be a bust.

I'm sure you meant Cole Hamels but I could see the FO going nuts for Jason Hammel.  We're not getting either but it'll be fun watching the speculation.

Looks like the Miami to little Havana move is working out great

Quote
A group of Cuban-American demonstrators plans to boycott the Miami Marlins as a result of manager Ozzie Guillen's comment that he respects Fidel Castro.

Vigilia Mambisa, headed by Miguel Saavedra, said it plans to begin a caravan of cars at SW 36th Avenue and 8th Street Tuesday that will culminate in front of the ballpark.

Imagine if Mark Cuban bought our Loria, and then signed Starlin Castro?

Any idea how long Utley/Howard are out?

I'm not sure but if they don't come back soon their starters are going to have to pitch shutouts to get a no-decision.

Utley is out indefinitely and Howard is aiming for a late May return.

They mentioned that Howard trotted out with the rest of the players during intros. Even still, not sure how well he'll come back. Could linger

It could just be because I'm staring at lines of R code, but the crowd seems really bored.  I'm not hearing any of the insanity I usually hear from the Philly Phaithful.

Well, Leo, I think that's a picture of Sportsfan's enormous shiny Nats belt buckle, so it is by default an ASSCLOWN avatar.

When will these pieces of crap have to apologize for wining and dining Castro?

At least Ozzie just paid him a half-compliment.
