Okay, that's why I was confused - I remembered you mentioning playing a battlemage.
I think the best heavy armor I've come across is Either Orcish or Dwarven (whichever is better). Supposedly you can craft Dragon Armor with the bones and scales you get from them (I think?)
How's the increased difficulty going for you btw? You playing at Expert now, or Master?
I'm wearing Elven armor right now. I just like light armor better than the heavy stuff. I do have a full suit of Dwarven armor as well. I have to admit, the Dwarven armor is pretty bad ass looking.
