I have to admit...almost shamefully...that I am finding Cityville to be stupidly fun.

Facebook puts your friends phone numbers all in one place, people freak out and make stuff up, panic ensues

EMail: GMail
Office Suite: MS Office 2012 (yes, it's legal) Google Docs & OpenOffice on USB stick. I also use EditPad Classic for plain text.
Web Browser: Firefox and Chrome, with Firefox getting most of the work
Picture Management/Storage: Picasa 3 and Picasa Web Albums
RSS: Sage within Firefox for the Baseball stuff, and Great News for everything else
Social Networks: Twitter and Facebook (also fubar, but only to play fuMafia)
Anti-Virus: Avast! Free Version
Calendar:I use Mozilla Sunbird, but also have links to Google and Yahoo Calendar on my MyYahoo start page.

Misc.: CorelDraw, Paintshop Pro Photo XI (never bothered upgrading, since this version does everything I need) DiVX, VLC Media Player, Winamp, ShortKeys (free version), Cathy (helps me find any file faster than Google Desktop or Windows Search), Xplorer2 in place of Windows Explorer.

Ken or anyone, can you tag pictures in Picasa like you would in Facebook, then search by name?

I've got thousands of family photos I'd like to scan (half already scanned) and then grind through and tag them with the names of all individuals featured.  Then, I'd be in position to pull up any meeting the search criteria - say, gimme all the tomterp ones.

edit - forgot about disabling the bookmarks toolbar - completely worthless waste of valuable space, imo, but some people like it.

I moved the bookmarks bar to the right of the Navigation bar and replaced all the links in it to icons only. I don't have my browser full screen, but I still have links to about 60 sites across that bar. I also move the Address and Search to the right of the Menu bar, so that when the WNFF Toolbar is off, I still have access to everything I need on two bar lines.

The Bookmarks Toolbar is great tool if you use it right.

You're right, and possibly even more than once, with a few 90s on the side... At least it got me started, and isn't always a bad thing.  ;)

:icon_question:   OK, stupid question. Is there a way to have my bookmarks in alpha order in the dropdown (using Firefox)?

What browser do you use primarily on your Mac?

Safari.  I had a few problems with Chrome
- we use Lotus Notes for messaging/calendar and for some odd reason Notes refuses to use Chrome when you click on a link in an e-mail.   It will open whatever browser was your default "before" you switched to Chrome
- sites that had animated GIFs caused it to lock up.

Both are based on WebKit, so there shouldn't be that much difference as far as rendering goes, as far as I know.

Safari.  I had a few problems with Chrome

I tried Chrome for a while but it just kept crashing.  The same thing happened to Safari so I'm using Firefox now.  Probably time to back up (I'm at day 630 without running Time Machine) and blow this thing out.

I love eMusic. I always download my allotment of mp3s then I cancel immediately. They will then send you absurd offers to come back like get 12 dollars of credit for 1 dollar. Rinse and repeat.
