Welcome home.    Sittin' here, watching the Macy's Parade for a while and then going out for a run.   Football at noon, etc., etc., etc.    :)          Happy Thanksgiving everybody !

I put in for the day off Monday on a whim. I was an alternate, meaning it was dependent on people not calling off etc... Found out last night that I'd be off today! Three day weekend! Huzzah!!!

Going up to Southern New Hampshire for T-day with my brother and his extended family.  The highlight is usually my nephew's wife's deserts.  She was top in her class at Johnson and Wales and the #2 chef at the best Italian restaurant in Boston's suburbs (per Boston magazine).  What she really loves to make is deserts.  I'll post after the meal, but first the hour drive up from my Dad's to my brother's.

BTW - to get to my brother's I take the right fork at the gas station. If I take the left, I end up at a Superfund site.  If I stay too long on the road and miss the left to his house, I go by another.  And if I take a right in town, I get to Seabrook Station.  I feel like he lives in a Simpson's episode.

Happy Thanksgiving from the FM/AtBC house!

BTW, the turkey looks awesome. I'll let you guys know later if it tasted as good as it looks. (My mom made the most beautiful strawberry shortcake one year, it sucked so bad we had to scrape the berries off and eat them.)

My mom and sister (the only women in my family that count) went to spend Thanksgiving with my brother and his family in another state so we had Thanksgiving for those in this region last weekend. This is the second year we've done this and it still feels a little weird that I'm not eating the traditional meal today. My neighbor did give me a pie she makes every year and it's always excellent so I'll be having that later. In the meantime, I'm treating this as a regular Sunday watching football and drinking brew. Happy Thanksgiving!
