Damn Ukraine got shafted so far. They had a ball cross the line but John Terry kicked it out and the refs didn't call a goal. It was England-Germany. World cup like.

Funny how that works out.

The pirlo pk was cruel. Just before it I was thinking how jaime moreno did it a few times, but no way would someone attempt it in a big game

I'm getting into the United.

Juventus bailed on them for Paris - Saint Germain. Is that worth watching or should I take the refund?

Definitely go to that game. A lot of talent on PSG. Javier Pastore is one of my favorite players.

Thanks! Wikipedia tells me they were #2 in the French league this year and made it far in Champions league, sounds like a winner to me and good for them for giving us a good show after Italy ditched us for the Chinese.

Yeah.  Props to the front office for coming up with this calibre of replacement on short notice.  They must have already known that Juve would flake out.

Deutscheland im mit crapter.  I missed the game on tv (had to go into the office, and someone had the nerve to be using the conference room with TV), but tried to follow the live text coverage...wtf was up with the coaching madness with Gomez and Klose?  Ah well, Angela will have to get her revenge with austerity packages.

since they were playing Italy, I'm surprised the kick backs did not arrive before the game.  Usually, the Germans are punctual.

when these teams played germany, they should have bet all their country's money on themselves. then told germany about it and asked "are you sure you want to beat us"

greece might have been closest to pulling it off because their amount of money might not tip the odds in vegas

You factor in all the bank debt and Spain isn't worth much more than a salt cod and some olives.  Italy isn't much better, so I guess the opportunity for leveraging the final into some sort of "Mouse that Roared" scenario got blown on Thursday.

Aye aye captain, I want to find everyone at a game soon. Last few weeks have been hectic with more road games than home. Still have 6 to go.

DC United clean-sheeted Montreal on Saturday 3-nil amid season-high 18,302 attendance (a few power outage refugees in the stands, perhaps? We had a higher-than-usual turn-out for the Mystics yesterday as well).

I almost went there myself (former season ticket holder 2004-10, planning on buying a single ticket) and was all prepped to go but we got our power back just at that time - after 18hr of no power I wasn't passing up an A/C evening.

Well, PSG just got Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva from Milan for €62 million, so it's definitely a game you should go to now. Man, that team is going to be awesome this season.
