Actually, the WC qualifiers start later this year.  US is in a weak group.

That guy is on fire.  Too bad the USMNT isn't doing much this year, he's been on a tear.

I still have the blues about the Olympics.

If El Salvador so much as scores a goal in the Olympics, Mt Pleasant is going to explode

Unlike this side of Columbia Rd, I think kids might still outnumber dogs in MtP.  Here dogs outnumber kids probably 500:1.

I really hate freaking dogs and I really hate "dog people".  You caught my joke though, right?  Just in case you didn't:

Ah, St Ian of Discordia

Actually missed the reference, but I'm always late to the party.

Dog people are fine by me, at least they don't breed (though a lot of them buy little chinese kids when they hit their 40s).

Arsenal is 4 clear of Spurs.  Nats won a freaky game.  Not a bad day.

Tevez and Aguero were ridiculous today. Big win for City.

This conflicts with the Nats.   Good thing about soccer is continuous action.    Baseball pauses will give me an opportunity to tune in for a minute or two  ...   and the soccer "early" start Eastern time.

Edit:    Don't know what I was thinking.   It's the other semi of the FA.   I saw a bit of Liverpool yesterday ...

Chelski fans booed during the minute of silence for the Hillsbrough disaster.  Dayumn.  The Phillies of Britain.

I wish Sportsfan was a Barca fan. I'm pretty sure his head would have exploded today. Barca was up 2-0 and needed to simply maintain a two goal lead for 45 minutes while Chelsea was down a man. Chelsea got one goal right back and not only held Barca off, but got a clinching goal on a 60 yard breakaway from Torres in the 90th minute

Did the Latics ever turn their season round...bringing up the rear for most of the season, now they're 3 points clear of the drop zone with two matches left (not entirely safe as yet since three of the four teams behind them have a game in hand, but still...).

The studio guys were talking about who Wigan had beaten recently.   Impressive  ...      Speaking of which, Suarez had the day for Liverpool.   What beautiful goals he had.
