With people consumed with doing the wave and bringing in beach balls no wonder the crowd is lost concerning the game and they way opponent fans make so much noise for their respective teams. Most of our fans mistakenly show up at games thinking they were headed for the beach.

Have you ever been to a major league game?  The wave and beachballs don't distract from the game, they're just things to add some excitement.

Dude, the Bacsik tracker sent Bacsik spiraling down the toilet, I hope you don't jinx Watson similarly.

I get the point. And I see the broom part of it but I still don't get why you would want to be hitting beach balls during a baseball game? Large signs are also banned from RFK but you can get them in as long as they aren't offensive.

Like someone else said, because its fun

I have had 41 game plan for the Nats since 2005 and in addition to those games I attend others so it's safe to say I've been around 130 games since 2005, so the answer is yes. But I go to watch baseball not to play beach ball or do the idiotic wave. I find enough excitement in the game itself, why would I need anything else to entertain me?

Actually the games that he has done bad in, I have not done the Bacsik tracker on. I wasnt here for the past 4 or 5 Bacsik starts. I did this in his first 4 games, only 1 was bad. I think it could be said that hes done worse when I wasnt doing it.

Only idiots do the wave. They were doing the wave last night in a tie game during the inning and all those that were doing were preoccupied with the wave to the point that they weren't into the game.

You may be right. Unfortunately we don't have anyone else ready to come off the DL anytime soon so it looks like we're stuck with that joker for a few more weeks.

Dude you need to lighten up, some people like to have some fun at the games. I understand what your saying about the game having lots of excitement on its own, but I still think its fun to do other stuff while your watching it. Thats why they have all this stuff between innings, like president races.

Thought this game was on MASN; I was watching it on 432 on Dish. Normally I'm blacked out if it's also on 20. Just noted it's on 20 too, so sorry for joining so late.

Oh is that the reason they have that? I thought it was to advertise for Geico and to get casual fans that don't really care about the game and show up late and leave early to show up at all. Maybe they should start running the President's race 'during' innings, they could help distract the opposing pitchers and come in handy for the home team

I talked to some kids from Milwakee that are touring baseball stadiums around the league, they were in Atlanta today, and they said they enjoyed the President's Races better than their own sausage races at Milwakee.
