Oh God.  We're going to mistake our way into losing this game!

Four hits, no runs. This team is amazing.

Green light to run, trying to get into scoring position for Desmond, before the 8-9 black hole appeared?

True.  I can see that.

I was "listening" to the Brewers-Cardinals game and the announcer mentioned that the Brewers had left four on base (I believe) and the Cardinals 6.  This was like in the 8th inning....

I was wondering how any team could go eight innings and leave that few men on base?  The Nationals seem to leave a dozen on base every game!  >:(

I guess you give it a shot.  If they didn't folks will complain that they don't try to make things happen.

Seriously, 4 hits in 2 innings and no runs.  Plus the lead off runner gets on in both innings.  Morgan with a popped up bunt (no excuse), Zimm can't move the runner over and then Dunn hits a laser that doesn't score Guzman.  Caught stealing in the 2nd inning.

Defense was abysmal in the 1st inning. Zimm with a shank, Desmond can't turn the DP, and then Bernadina slides in RF to allow Phillips to score.

I have watched this team too much since 2005 to know how this movie will end.  We are reverting back to old form.

Game.

The hit by the pitcher did me in and I could hold out no longer.

All this with 6 1/2 more innings to go.

I can live with a hit by a pitcher.
They also say he's a very good hitting pitcher.
It happens.

What I hate is walking the pitcher.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not you.

Desmond showed really good range to even get to the ball in the 1st.  Phillips would have scored on that play no matter what Bernadina did in RF.  The bats are scuffling a little bit, but maybe you could pull your head out of your backside and credit the opposing pitcher a bit since he's changing speed and location pretty well.

How many runners will we leave on base this time?  I'm guessing someone will be wondering around and get picked off second.

Just got back from INSIDE PITCH LIVE w/Stan Kasten. I nailed him with the question: What are you going to do about the rumored Philly takeover on 7/31? His answer: "There is a plan in the works to make sure Opening Day 2010 never happens again. We have no idea how it happened. We were not happy with how it turned out."

He didn't seem that happy.

Please tell me you didn't let him get away with that answer/lie.

I wonder what language Roger and Livan were speaking?  Roger speaks Dutch, natively, I believe and Livan, Spanish, obviously.

English, strangely enough.

In which inning will Joe West eject a player, manager, or coach?

That's 4 hits for our LHBs tonight.  Might want to pinch hit Willie for Who next time the 8 spot comes up.

Bernadina is from Curacao so he probably speaks a little Spanish as well.
