Really bummed out. I read myself to sleep, and my Kindle fell from the bed to the carpeted floor during the night. Now it's broken, half the screen no longer works, and Best Buy says its not covered under Amazon's 1 year warranty. Didn't get the add-on from Best Buy; who would fro a $99 item? Now I have no Kindle.

Read a regular book. I've heard that they're made of trees or something.

In the mean time, you can use an iOS or android device or your computer at read.amazon.com

That sucks though.

I thought they were supposed to be tougher than that!  The ones with ads on the screensaver were like $79 a few months ago, probably less now.  Your library should convey from one to the other.

I had one and dropped it, stepped on it and kept it in a backpack with hard cover books and no case- it was fine. Then, one small drop and it landed the wrong way and the screen crapped out

I'm reading Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol it's pretty neat that it's set in DC so far.

That usually pisses me off because details get wrong very quickly. Head of State was actually filmed in DC.

Have you read "The Greatest Trade Ever" by Gregory Zuckerman?  It's a good companion piece to the "Big Short".

No, but I'll add it to my list. Thanks for the suggestion.

Black Swan is my favorite book on the broad topic (though it's much broader)

Read "This Side of Paradise" last night. Good, but kind of depressing.
