Seriously, crap like this should be a bannable offense.

It was a joke, dude.  Everybody was talking about a trade and our need for a catcher so I decided to have a go at it.

The Braves are about to win their 5th straight. Our lead will be down to 3 games if we don't come back.

Just splitting a road series isn't enough when the team chasing us refuses to lose.

I bet the Braves fans say the same thing about us, since, you know, we have a 3 game lead.  Actually, I know they do.

Nationals PR ‏@NationalsPR
1B Adam LaRoche left today's game in the middle of the 4th inning with back tightness. He is listed as day-to-day.

...just hoping that isn't Capitals-style 'day-to-day' (which in some cases has become 'done for the year').

Day-to-day usually means about two weeks for the Nationals.  Hope Tyler Moore enjoys the playing time.

Great, we have Desmond on the IR, Laroche out, Harper sick and slumping, Flores falling apart and no better options, and I hold my breath that Ryans shoulder will hold up every time he moves.  Does that about cover it?  Oh yeah, and Jordan Zimmermann is having trouble getting loose when he warms up.  Great - who is ready for a pennant race?
Despite all of that I still don't see Rizzo making a move, not even a small one for a role player.

He'll say we already have the best rotation, why add a starter, and that Werth and Tracy are coming back so the offense is fine. And our bullpen is good now that Storen is back. That's what he's thinking.

Just splitting a road series isn't enough when the team chasing us refuses to lose.

We can't help that the Braves are on a tear.  The fact they went on like a 7 game win streak+ and are about to hit a 5 game win streak, and we're STILL ahead by multiple games is good.  As long as we consistently win series we'll be fine.

The sky is not falling.  Are you one of the guys that thought the season was over after the disastrous Braves collapse?

Sounds just like the Caps last season. Counting injured players coming back as getting good players through trades.
