I can't believe they nixed Olympic Baseball and kept retarded "sports" like dressage.  :?

They mixed it because of the World Baseball Classic.  Softball too!

Equestrian very high class event.  Btw,I'm not sure if shes an Olympian but Springsteens daughter is an equestrian

My son swam in high school. All I remember is brutal cold outside (season is Jan/Feb/Mar), over-heated pools, and a lot of splashing.

Dressage is a horse-riding event in which someone in a fancy outfit rides a horse around in sort of figure-8s. I think the horse changes a gait on each pass, but it just looked like the horse was trotting. Pronounced "dress-ah-zh".

The swim trials were in Omaha.  That was a pretty cool event.

What do you expect when they play crappy teams like the Phillies?
The Phillies had been on a roll with beatwriters saying that they were back in the wild card hunt.

And the Braves face the Marlins again next week. :?

DPM, where in Omaha do you live?  I was stationed at Offutt from '97-'00 and lived in Papillion.  Really enjoyed the area.

I actually live in Lincoln now, but I grew up in northwest Omaha, 108th and Fort area.  Papillion-LaVista have grown up a bit since then.  The Omaha Royals moved to LaVista last year after they closed Rosenblatt.  Really cool little park.

That is a nice park, was out there on business and saw a game there last year.  Was a "Thirsty Thursday"...dollar beers until the end of the sixth, and we got a 1+45  rain delay after 5 1/2!

If these throwbacks can even make Clippard look good then they are magical.
