It grinds my gears that freakin Ian Desmond is not in the 2-hole after having solid games there the last two days.

And don't give me that crap oh he needs to be down in the line-up for experience and crap ... he's obviously kicking ass @ 2-spot ... don't try and fix something that ain't broke.  He's batting .385 in that spot with 4 extra base hits and 5 rbis.  Can we please get some consistency.

I'd love a series win.

What a confidence booster that'd be!

He'll be in that two hole vs. lefties.  Down a bit vs. righties where Kennedy will get the 2 hole role.  Those two are basically gonna flip flop depending on the matchup.

Kennedy needs start producing.

Edit: He needs to be moved down. The guy is basically a 7/8/9 hitter.

His BABIP is .081 points lower than his career average. He's just getting unlucky right now.

Edit: But I do agree he's better suited for the 6-7-8 role.

I'm guessing you also said Guzman was awesome when his BABIP was in the .400's as well?

No, I said he was hitting the ball.

So is Kennedy. He's struck out 6 times in 60 PA's.

He's just been unlucky in the fact that his outs are not turning into hits.

You're desperate to have Desmond in the 2 hole aren't you?

His outs are a product of crappy at bats. This isn't Ryan Zimmerman hitting missiles that are snagged, he's hitting lazy fly balls and two hoppers to infielders that don't have to move.

Well I owe it to DPMOmaha, I just used his suggestion of copying previous gameday thread formats. I think it gives it a nice uniform look with room for adding personal touch, but I decided against doing anything too crazy for my first one.

I can't take credit for the format.  I borrowed it from someone else...I wish I could remember who I borrowed it from though...

I think the creepy WGN camera guys do a good enough job by themselves, but I will admit Wrigley Field always has some of the best eye candy around.

Didn't George Will call it the world's biggest singles bar?

So, the past two games I've had a bad feeling going in and it wasn't awful and yesterday was great.  Today I have a good feeling.  So, I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or not and I should have a bad feeling because I have a good feeling.
