I saw them open for Samiam in Houston ages ago back when they used to just sound like crappy Metallica. Samiam was so late and so drunk.

HAHA I dig Vheissu and Alchemy Index. I hadn't seen them before, so I figured I'd catch it before they called it quits.

M3 hairband festival today at meriweather, hdnet and the xm hairband channels are carrying it. Ratt, queensryche headline tonight. Saw great white, stryper and la guns on hdnet earlier. Warrant is on now I think.

Great white without jack russel looks kind of weird.

In the dead of night
She'll come and take you away
Searing beams of light and thunder
Over blackened plains
She will find her way

:metal:

I saw Queensrÿche open for Judas Priest on the Angel of Retribution tour.

Kix was on the bill,  really would have liked to see Zebra, surprised they aren't there. I missed dokken earlier.  I'm not sure how they could put this together without cinderella and whitesnake.

Eddie back to the bottle.

Maybe, but I also heard that the old fighting had started up again.

Did Brian Forsythe rejoin Kix? If not they probably aren't worth seeing.

Weren't they in that horrible club fire in Warwick, Rhode Island a number of years back?

yeah, and since then Jack Russell has left the band.  The new singer sounds a lot like him though.

they could just swap in Chickenfoot for Van Halen and the shows would probably improve.

How does Warrant look without Jamie Lane? Afterall, he did die a little while back.

He's been in and out of the band for a decade.  He looked awful the last time I saw Warrant in 2004.

the new guy they got looks and sounds like him.  I caught an acoustic version of Uncle Tom's Cabin that was really good.  Here's the new singing Rainbow in the Dark during the RJD tribute. (terrible audio quality):

There must be some DHHS grant money out there waiting for a study of the relative mortality rates of male caucasoids stratified by musical genre.

Caught Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers in Charlottesville this past weekend.  Great, great show and it's worth whatever the admission price to hear Steve play "The Great Remember".  Just a gorgeous, gorgeous song.

He was in Cumberland about two weeks ago for DelFest. I didn't go, but I heard it was quite the shindig.

Awesome!

Dear God, so many good bands. Devin Townsend, Killswitch, Refused, besides the obvious. How did Ugly Kid Joe get on there? This isn't the 1994 HFStival.
