WE'D BE UP 4-3 RIGHT NOW IF IT WASN'T FOR WILLINGHAM'S INEXCUSABLE ERROR. CASE CLOSED.
Deep breaths.  There's enough blame to go around.

Why does anyone think firing Manny Acta will help anything?  The same people who put this mess of a team together, the same people who signed Daniel Cabrera, would be finding the replacement.  How can you possibly see that turning out well?

Like I already said, we *could* very well be over .500 if it wasn't for Manny Acta's decisions on who to put what pitcher in at what times. His decision to use Hinckley one night a couple weeks ago is another loss I can recall off the top of my head that made no sense and blew the game wide open. Manny is just clueless when it comes to pitching even taking into consideration how horrible our bullpen is + DCrap.

Willingham didn't walk in a few dozen runs including the freaking pitcher and otherwise generally suck so bad he should be in low-A. Willingham hurt us bad, but as others have said... You have a pitcher who can pitch and we'd be poised to retake the lead right now despite Willingham.

Right, Willingham made an unfortunate error. But the mistake was made at the first step. Once he needed to charge that ball with this wind, he was screwed. Cabrera's walks are a bigger problem than a misplayed hit. Can't excuse Willingham, but this game is on Cabrera. Pitchers are 80% of the defense.

Just because you type in caps doesn't make you any more right than the next person.

Your right, but he didn't pitch the next 4 batters.

he wouldn't have to pitch to the next 4 batters if Willingham makes that catch. case closed. give up.

thanks for moving the runner over, Willingham. he could have hit that 0-2 pitch over to the right side easily.

No. Willingham is mashing.

Why would you take his hot bat out of the lineup?

we'd also be down 1 or 2 runs if that stupid nag doesn't walk Randy Johnson on 4 pitches. that is the most laughable thing I have witnessed all season.

No, he'd just have walked them all in the 6th inning instead of the 5th... And on top of that more than likely have been left in a little bit longer to totally blow the game wide open since he clearly had lost it mentally/physically late in the 5th.

because he's a douchebag and just cost us this game. we should trade him now while he is "hot".

The campaign on that game is WAY too easy... and short. Nice looking, though.

Doubtful, that play clearly rattled Cabrera.  He's got a fragile mentality.  If Willingham makes the catch he probably would have been ok.

Or realize that baseball is a 162 game season and that mistakes happen.

He's one of the best three OF's we have.

He should be getting the majority of the starts. Especially when he's hitting a homer a game.
