Is your homeowners putting you up in the apts? Or are you having to foot the bill for it? Best wishes! We have a big double Oak in front of my house that's as dead as it gets and yet the wife and I would damn near come to blows over it whenever I mentioned getting it cut down. She likes that it fills our picture window and the squirrels and birds play on it. From the front of the house, it ruins what little curb appeal we have right now as I've been unable to keep up with the maintainance lately. Now she's OK with cutting it down, but it costs too damn much. What a pain in the ass.
Yes, our insurance is paying for us in the apts. Our tree cost $8,000 to remove (with a bucket truck and a bobcat)! A friend of mine knows someone who had to pay $11,500 to extricate a big old oak from their kitchen/property.
