If I were a fan of the Marlins Flores is probably a guy I would look forward to, I'll say that much.

Flores has such a slow lumbering swing and it's only compounded by his poor pitch recognition skills.

Why not?  You'll either lose the game then or lose the game later.  Flores has been horrible for weeks.  The chances of him coming through were minuscule.

Couple of reasons.  He's still my best option at catcher right now.  Two, it's early enough yet that I'm still gonna get through the meat of my order one more time in all likelyhood, that pinch hitter will likely be more necessary when the pitcher's spot comes around the next time in what is probably my last opportunity to get back in the game.  Plus, Flores does have enough pop to take one yard and with the pinch hitter coming up behind him, he does still have to pitch to him.

I remember a time that our offense was pretty bad, which was most of the year and coincided with Zimmerman not hitting.

I can give him credit for wins but there were very curious managing decision made tonight.

Maybe.  It just grips my crap that we are waaaaay ahead of where anyone believed we'd be this season, yet the manager still gets slammed.

He isn't the one out there batting.

I expect to win against the crappy Marlins.  Unfortunately, they don't play crappy against us.

The games in September don't mean anything if you blow it in July and August.

They've got the best record in the NL and haven't let losses like this, assuming they don't comeback, linger.  I'm not really worried about this game being the start of losing streak.  And, if it is, then this game won't matter either.  I'm not treating a game in July like a game in late September.

I'm going to go back to slamming Rick Eckstein, because our approach at the plate flat out sucks.  These guys have no discipline, and I feel at least part of the blame belongs to the HITTING COACH.

I bet we see Davey start Flores all three games next series.  I'd like to see Solano start just one game, but that won't happen...

And not benching players who are struggling mightily IS something you can blame on the manager.
